New Fundraising Total for 2014!

We just wanted to update you all now that all of our fundraising from 2014 has been completed and collected.

We’ve managed to raise a staggering £1,150.00 for the PKD Charity, which will go towards providing much needed support for renal patients, will help fund vital research into renal medicine, and will undoubtedly help the charity to continue doing their outstanding work.

Thank you so much to everyone that has helped us to reach that total, and to everyone that have supported us with coverage, social media shares and likes, and general encouragement.

We’ve Raised £1000 for the PKD Charity

On 1st January 2014 we committed to raise a target of £1000 for the Polycystic Kidney Disease (PKD) Charity, who fund vital research into a common renal condition as well as offering support to patients and their families.

The Knavesmire IT team set out to run the Plusnet Yorkshire Marathon on the 12th October 2014, and along the way run in the Major Series Bramham 5K Mud Run, Jane Tomlinson Hull, Burnley, Leeds and York 10K’s, and the BUPA Great Yorkshire Run 10K in Sheffield. We are proud to have completed every single one, with a marathon finish time of 4 hours 57 minutes.

We are pleased to announce that as of the 1st November 2014 we managed to hit our target, and would like to thank all of those who kindly donated, with a special mention to one of our customers – AG Channels, for their kind donation to get us to our target.

Don’t worry though, as the JustGiving page will remain active until the 12th January 2015 so that you can continue to make much needed donations to this great cause.

If you would like to find out more about PKD then please spare a moment to visit the PKD Charity online.

Thanks again everyone, we couldn’t have done it without you!

Knavesmire IT to support PKD Charity

Knavesmire IT to support PKD Charity

Knavesmire IT is pleased to announce that throughout 2014 we will be supporting the PKD Charity – UK.

About 70,000 adults and children in the UK have Polycystic Kidney Disease or PKD – life-threatening inherited conditions that can cause renal (kidney) failure and affect other organs in the body. Over 12 million children and adults worldwide have PKD.

The PKD Charity supports those affected, their families and carers, with information, help and understanding. They raise awareness and fund research into the causes of PKD, with the hope of discovering treatments and a cure. You can visit the PKD Charity website at

Phil Johnson (owner of Knavesmire IT) is one such person who suffers from PKD along with a number of other close family members – some of whom have undergone successful transplant – and has committed to run the Run For All Hull, Pennines, Leeds and York 10k’s, followed closely by the Plusnet Yorkshire Marathon in October, and has an overall aim of raising £1,000 for the charity.

If you would like to support Phil’s PKD Charity Fundraising then please take a moment to visit his JustGiving Page at where you can find out more and make a donation.
